A platform where Regulators and Regulatory consultants meet and discuss
This year’s theme: “Smart Regulation: Delivering Quality Assured Medical Products for All.” ICMR showcased several cutting-edge, ‘Make-in-India’ technologies developed through ICMR-DHR Centres of Excellence at IITs supported by the Medical Device and Diagnostics Mission Secretariat (ICMR-MDMS), including innovations from the hashtag#MedTechMitra initiative—further driving India’s health technology leadership on the global stage.
Speakers and panellists from the National Regulator Authorities, harmonisation initiatives and WHO shared their experience in the implementation of reliance in medical devices regulations, including successes and challenges. The workshop also offered the opportunity to make recommendations to both WHO and Member States on the best way to further strengthen reliance in improving access to good quality medical devices.
